A natural attraction that visitors to Sydney are often not aware of is the the Bells Line of Road in the Blue Mountains. Another amazing attraction that is often overlooked is also a natural beauty and wonder. For tens of thousands of years Aboriginal people travelled across Australia’s waterways and out to sea in dugout canoes, rafts, and canoes made from tree bark.
Now, Australia’s rivers and oceans are more likely to host tour boats, ferries, kayaks, and yachts, but travelling by water is still one of the best ways to get around.
Take Sydney Harbour, for example. It’s one of the most beautiful harbours in the world, and plenty of cruise boats drift slowly past the white sails of the Sydney Opera House and underneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
For the chance to see Sydney Harbour from a new perspective, climb aboard the Deerubbun. on this Aboriginal-operated cruise you get to learn about local Aboriginal traditions and place names. You also step off on a harbour island to experience some traditional dancing.
Harbour cruises can also be inexpensive. State-operated Sydney Ferries offer inexpensive tours on regular passenger ferries. You can also see a large slice of the harbour by simply travelling to the beach on the Manly passenger ferry.
Some companies offering day trips to the Blue Mountains add on a public ferry trip down the Parramatta River to Sydney Harbour. It gives you a chance to look at suburban Sydney, from the comfort of a high-speed vessel.
Further south is Port Hacking, which edges onto the mangrove swamps and forests of the Royal National Park. Cronulla Cruises operate eco cruises from the southern Sydney beach suburb of Cronulla. Introducing Sydney Sydney is the largest city in Australia, with a population of nearly four million. The city is situated on the east coastline of Australia. The new settlement was named after Lord Sydney, the British Secretary of State, who had suggested that the British establish a penal colony in Australia. To start with life in the new settlement was harsh, with basic bunks in wood huts, tiny amounts of sustenance, and a callous regime of authority. even worse suffering, though, was heaped upon the Aboriginal natives, who were wiped out in vast numbers by the infectious diseases brought by the newcomers. Just 5 years later, in 1793, the first ship of free colonists came, drawn by the mild weather and freely obtainable land.
The settlement expanded quickly through the 19th century, as the inhabitants founded many businesses, untrammeled by burdensome red tape. throughout the twentieth century, fast growth continued as migrants arrived from both Europe and Asia.
Nowadays Sydney is a large, modern and multicultural city, with inhabitants hailing from all over the globe. The city is a popular destination for tourists. Well-known attractions include the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbor Bridge, The Rocks and Bondi Beach. The proposed cruise terminal at White Bay is solely suitable for cruises originating from the city, as its location is inconvenient for the city’s center. also the facility will be unavailable to several cruise ships due to size restrictions at Sydney Harbor bridge. With this in mind additional plans for a further facility at Garden Island, a mile east of Circular Quay, are under consideration.
Sydney Sightseeing If you’ve a day to spare at either end of your cruise vacation, Sydney is a great place to visit.
- The Rocks The Rocks is the oldest area in Sydney, and lots of of the buildings at The Rocks are near original, examples would be Campbell’s Storehouse, Cadman’s Cottage, the Merchants House and Susannah Place. Within this historical district, the visitor will find restaurants, bars, galleries, cafes and shops. The Rocks area is next to Circular Quay.

If you’re not frightened of heights sign up for the Sydney Harbor Bridge climb, a three and a half hour trek to the top of the bridge. The outing takes you up girders, catwalks and ladders at day or night.
- Bondi Beach Bondi Beach is renowned the world over as a home of surfing. in the summer months Bondi is a center for surf, fun and sun. The white sandy beach looks out on a wide crescent shaped bay of deep blue water. Bus no 380 from Circular Quay takes 45 minutes to Bondi.

From Central Train Station Central Railway Station is the major junction for interstate and intrastate rail services. The Inner West and South lines link Central station to the city center. It’s 2 stops to Wynyard, and three stops to Circular Quay. another option from Central Station to the terminals is a cab.
By Car Neither the OPT or Wharf 5 terminals have convenient car parks, but parking is possible in the area.

3 days in Sydney, What should I do?

I want to go to the Blue Mountains one day, another day go to Sydney Harbour Bridge, take pictures at Pylon outlook and look around the Rocks and Quay. How long will it take me to do the latter? I'm not much of a shopper. Would there be time to go to Bondi beach the same day or go to Newtown?
What else can I do? Is the tribal boat cruise a tourist trap or fun? I'd like to learn a little more on aboriginals. any other suggestions for my 3rd day?
The Blue Mountains is a great but tiring day if you are staying in the city as it is a good drive away. I would recommend that you do a Bridge Climb which is great and you can do this on your second day when you are at the Quay and the Rocks. the jet boat rides that leave from near the Opera House are also fantastic. Bondi and Newtown are not for away from each other- about half an hour by taxi so you could have breakfast at in one suburb and lunch in another. have a great stay
skip the blue mountains-v boring! well for me. u might like it. if u go make sure u go on the bottomless cable cart ride and the really steep train thing.
do u like vintage shopping? if not skip newtown
go to bondi-its lovely
i think if u dont do much shopping u could do newtown+bondi in the same day
there are specific botanical gardens tours that take u round the garden and tell u about aboriginal heritage and then go to the aboriginal museum (i cant think of the real name)
do u plan on going clubbing at night? go oxford street
there are nice pyrmont boat trips that take u all around the harbour
the blue mountains, darling harbor, taronga zoo, shopping, the gardens.

There are lot of things to do in sydney . I can tell you a few about them .

Rather than mention 5 places, you probably want to head to 5 locations.
1. Go to the NSW Art Gallery, walk through the domain, the botanical gardens are down to the Sydney opera house, keep going through circular quay, past the buskers and onto the rocks (if you have time head on to darling harbour).
2. Bondi beach, then if you want explore the area further walk south past beaches, along cliff tops to Coogee beach (and further if you are keen).
3. take the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly beach
4. Walk through one of the eating streets, like Newtown or Darlinghurst area (Glebe point road used to be good, but has dropped off). There are numerous restaurants and places to shop.
5. China town, but if you want to eat Chinese food ignore the main China town street and look in the surrounding areas for real Chinese food.
There is a lot to see in Sydney, and lot depends on the whether and your taste.
You should definetely do a bush walk. Blue mountains area is brilliant but a hard walk, but there are plenty of other walks around.
Places like Olympic stadium (looks boring after Beijing's Bird nest) or Centenial park. Historic buildings like the QVB (Queen victoria building) and shopping at Paddies market.
If you want to go to non-tourist beaches you head to the northern beaches, such as Palm beach.

I'd recommend you get out of sydney and see the rest of australia. Yes, Bondi beach, the Opera House and Darling Harbour are great but spend the extra money and travel to places like the great barrier reef. It's absolutley beautiful. If your in Sydney travel a couple of hours down the coast and see the great cities and towns along the way. There are millions of places to stay where you get a real aussie experience.
1. The Harbour – Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.
2. The Rocks – the historical quarters (many good old pubs and other historical buildings).
3. The CBD (great shopping, Sydney Tower, good museums, plenty of bars and restaurants).
4. Eastern suburbs, Woolloomooloo, Kings Cross, Darlinghurst, Surrey Hills etc.. suburbs with character.
5. Beaches: Bondi and Manly at least but there are many more.

There are some good elements to this package ..eg the Great Ocean Road in Vic , Melbourne City Tour , Sydney City Tour , Blue Mountains Tour &the Wildlife Park.
The time spent in Queensland appears to be totally wasted if all you are going to see is theme parks We have far more to offer than that eg either the Lone Pine Sanctuary in Brisbane , Fleay's Sanctuary on the Gold Coast or Australia Zoo ..not to mention the rest that Brisbane alone has to offer !
My goodness, that's a lot to cram into 10 days!! you don't mention where you are from, but to be honest with you, if you are from somewhere there are lots of theme parks available to visit, then I'd give that part of it a miss and see some of the more unique australian attractions. For Melbourne, the city and great ocean roads are fantastic if you only have a few days, Sydney, obviously the opera house, city and harbour bridge are must sees, and the Blue Mountains also a beautiful Heritage listed part of our country. Brisbane.. to be perfectly honest, I think you'd be better to go to Currumbin Sanctuary which is an amazing wildlife park full of every type of Australian animal imaginable (almost). Seems like a pretty full on trip, but looks like it would still be good if you're up for it.. depends on what you're into and if you're after the Australian experience or not, I wouldn't really say it's that.. but still a fun trip.
My first thought which I think you should definitely try and do is fly Melbourne – Sydney – Brisbane or vica versa, the order you are flying is going to create a lot of extra unnecessary travel time as Brisbane is at the top of Australia, Melbourne the bottom and Sydney the middle.
I think your itinerary includes lots of good points but is crammed and is mostly tours to points of interest, you are not going to get to see much of the city. 3 days in one city is very very little especially since you only really get 2 days after travel.
Can you stay a week longer and spread it out a lot more.
It appears you're doing a package which sounds like it could be quite costly. For example, the Melbourne city tour you can do for free, there is a tram and bus that run free tours everyday but it sounds like you are in some way paying for it, since it is non-refundable. I just think you could do the same trip with tours for a lot cheaper if you do it yourself.
On my first holiday here, I spent 3 weeks just doing Sydney.
Your 3 days on the Gold coast ? Seaworld and Movieworld ? well, if that is what you are coming here for, then OK. But it wouldn't be my idea of fun 
Only you can know if that is what you really want.
It does look like you have only 8 usable days in that 10 day holiday though.
Yes its a great trip but you should get rid of Brisbane/ Gold Coast its a waste of time and money spend more time in Melbourne and you will have the best holiday in history.
Remember no Gold Coast/ Brisbane. more Melbourne instead.
